Questions

RV Plumbing & Water Systems: common questions

Why does my water pump keep running or cycling?

A pump that cycles with no faucet open usually points to a leak somewhere in the system, a faulty check valve or a worn pump switch. If it runs without building pressure, the tank may be empty or the pump may be pulling air. We trace which one it is.

Why is my water pressure low?

Clogged faucet aerators or inlet screens, a weak pump, a restricted filter, or the pressure regulator on city water are common causes. We check each in turn.
